You will be notified by email as soon as Immigration New Zealand makes a decision on your application. When your NZeTA is approved, the confirmation is sent to the email address you used on the form, and the authority is linked electronically to your passport — there is nothing physical to collect.
Most applications are approved within 72 hours, and often within a few hours. If a decision is taking longer than expected, first check your spam or junk folder, as approval emails can occasionally be filtered there. You can also confirm the current state of your application at any time using our visa status page by entering your reference number and email. If several days have passed and you still have not heard anything, contact us and we will look into it for you before you travel.
