A New Zealand eTA (NZeTA) is valid for up to 2 years from the date it is approved, or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. There is no need to apply again for every trip during that period.
Within those two years the NZeTA allows multiple visits. Each individual stay can last up to 90 days (up to 6 months for British citizens), and you may spend a maximum of 6 months in New Zealand in any 12-month period. If you get a new passport before your NZeTA expires, you must apply for a new one, because the authority is linked electronically to the passport used in the application.
