FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Filling in the NZeTA application itself takes only a few minutes — usually less than ten. You just complete the online form with your passport and contact details, add any additional travellers, pay the fee and the IVL, and submit; we take care of the rest.
Approval is a separate step handled by Immigration New Zealand. Most applications are approved within 72 hours, and many come back within a few hours, though a small number take a little longer if extra checks are needed. Because of this, we strongly recommend applying at least three days before your departure so there is time to resolve any query. There is no need to visit an embassy at any stage. When you are ready, start your NZeTA application, and you can follow progress on our visa status page.
