Applying for a New Zealand eTA from the US takes just three simple steps. First, complete the online NZeTA form with your passport details, contact information and basic travel plans. Second, pay the NZeTA fee together with the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) using a credit or debit card. Third, submit your application for review.
Immigration New Zealand then assesses the application, and you are notified by email as soon as a decision is made — usually within 72 hours, and often much sooner. Once approved, the NZeTA is linked electronically to your passport, so there is nothing to print or collect. You can add several travellers to a single application if you are travelling as a family or group.
